The dialog needed to switch between different source maps can be directly selected from the main menu, or at a later point in time from within the map window.

CityGuide ME searches on the local memory card for source maps. The selection of maps is limited solely by the storage capacity of the memory card in use.

Currently, a total capacity of 1 GB may be used.

In case a new source map is selected while using the application to navigate a certain route or displaying a point of interest, the current view is kept and the exact location is displayed on the new map. Should the new map be of a different scale, the system will also scale the displayed route if neccessary.

Please note, that a change from an inner city map to an overview map will significantly shorten the displayed route due to the larger scale of the area on display.
